Wellness Walking

Wellness Walking is the working title of an e-book (and maybe future printed version) that John Groberg is writing.

The concept is to teach a specifically designed "walking practice" that incorporates in a single practice many different principles of physical, mental and emotional wellness.  This is not just about walking- it's about what you do with you mind and body while you walk. 

The practice of Wellness Walking incorporates:

1) Principles from Yoga including yogic breathing techniques and walking postures as well as mindfulness and chakra opening exercises. 

2) Principles from Neural Linguistic Programming (NLP) in which you use specific body actions to deliberately program your subconscious mind. 

3) Principles of stimulating and circulating "chi" or "ki" energy from Chinese and Korean traditions of vital energy practices. 

4) Principles of the "Law of Attraction" that help you break out of the negative attractor patterns of worry, fear and guilt and get into a powerful emotional and energy attractor pattern of gratitude, love and abundance that will attract to your life more abundance and more things and relationships to love and be grateful for. 

All this is a 20 minute walking practice that can be done anywhere you are, at any age.  So long as you can 1)walk and 2)focus your attention and 3)use your imagination, you can turn what would otherwise just be a walk into a life-evolving regular spiritual practice.
